Take a look at the floor below the patrons in this photo. It takes on the light shining from under the bar. This is a way for the bar to light the floor indirectly. It especially works at night because during the day the brightness of these lights appears to be less. This was taken in South Beach on September 5.
The light reminded me of being in an indoor bar, but this one was outside. It was very impressive for an outside bar and made me feel excited while I was visiting my friends.
